In order to correctly calculate the cost of cargo transportation by air, you need to determine whether your cargo is bulky or not. First you need to determine the total weight and volume of your consignment. The formula for calculating the volume: V = a • b • h, where a is length in meters, b is width in meters, h is height in meters. According to the rules of the carriage of goods by air, 1m3 = 167 kg, so the volume of a consignment is multiplied by 167 kg. The resulting value is the volumetric weight of your cargo. Then, this value is compared with the physical weight of the entire consignment, and the calculation of transportation charge is made using the highest of these values.
It depends on a flight and an airline via which the airfreight is calculated. It is possible to book an entire aircraft with a capacity of up to 90 cub. meters. But, as a rule, this is costly. It is more cost-effective to divide cargo into urgent (to be delivered by air) and non-urgent (to be delivered by sea or rail).
In this case, it is necessary that the value of your cargo be not higher than 200€ and 31 kg per parcel.
It depends on a route, distance, a direct or transit flight, customs formalities at airports of departure and arrival, if the goods are perishable or not.
For international air transportation, the following documents will be required: Packing List, Invoice, Contract with a carrier, Air waybill (prepared by our manager), Cargo certificates (if necessary)
